2/1/19 – POINT BREAK- A young FBI agent, Johnny Utah, infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes, led by the charismatic Bodhi. The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Patrick Swayze and Keanu Reeves star in this R-rated film.

2/8/19 – I AM NOT YOUR NEGRO - Filmmaker Raoul Peck mined James Baldwin's published and unpublished oeuvre, selecting passages from his books, essays, letters, notes, and interviews that are every bit as incisive and pertinent now as they have ever been. Weaving these text together, Peck imagines the book that Baldwin never wrote. Peck's film uses them to jump

through time, juxtaposing Baldwin's private words with his public statements in an examination of the tragic history of race in America.  This documentary is rated PG-13.

2/15/19 – LINCOLN - A revealing drama that focuses on the 16th president's tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country, and abolish slavery. Starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field.  Rated PG-13

2/22/19 – KISS, KISS, BANG BANG - A petty thief posing as an actor is brought to Los Angeles for an unlikely audition and finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation!  He meets up with his high school dream girl and a detective who's been training him for his upcoming role.  Starring Robert Downey, Jr., and Val Kilmer! Rated R


ADULTS:  We have two options, afternoon or evening! The afternoon group is our new addition!!

The afternoon group will be meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of every month at 4:00 PM.  Our first meeting will be Wednesday, February 13th, 2019. The February selection is: " An Odyssey: a father, a son, and an epic" by Daniel Mendelsohn". Copies available at the Information desk. Pick up a copy and join us for in the discussion!  

  The evening group will continue to meet on the fourth Thursday* of the month at 7:00 PM. FEBRUARY's BOOK SELECTION: Astrophysics for People in a Hurry" by Neil deGrasse Tyson. Copies are available at the Information desk.  We will meet on Thursday, February 28th, 2019

Drop in between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM every Friday to build whatever you like with our Duplo collection. Suggested for ages 2 to 6.


• Monday: Terrific Two’s and Three’s (18 to 36 mo.) at 10:00 AM
• Tuesday: Playful Pre-School (3 to 5 yrs.) at 10:00 AM
• Thursday: Wonderful One’s (Birth to 24 mo.) at 10:00 AM


If you’re 65 or older and need help with Medicare or medical insurance, you can sign up to receive assistance on Mondays at 9, 10, or 11 AM. Visits are by appointment only. If these times are not convenient, please contact us to arrange a more convenient time. Counselors are RSVP and APPRISE certified. Please note that the Tuesday night group is for experienced players (intermediate level or higher) only and they do not provide instruction. (Many websites and online videos can offer instruction if you are interested.) Single deck only; no admission after 7:15 PM so full games are not interrupted.


Now there are two options! Mondays at 1 PM and Wednesdays at 6:30 PM! Break out the yarn and come join us!


Join the group for bridge on Fridays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. Come in and play a hand of party bridge! Refresh your memory on the rules, meet new friends and hone your skills! Limited to 3 tables.


Play rousing games of Mah Jongg at the library on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 12:15 PM. Please be sure to have your own Mah Jongg card. Call for information.


Socrates Café meets each Monday evening at 7:00 PM to discuss, share, and explore topical issues. No need to register; just come with your thoughts and an open mind.


Teens in grades 6 to 12 are welcome to come to the library for Teen Time every Tuesday afternoon from 3 to 5 PM.
