There are CLASSES AND EVENTS for every age at the Free Library of Springfield Township!

FILMS on FRIDAY

See a new or classic film or a documentary at the library every Friday at 2:00 PM

OCTOBER 5 - CALIFORNIA TYPEWRITER - For those of us who remember manual typewriters, this documentary is an ode to that technology! Hear Tom Hanks and David McCullough share their love of the machine. Meet a young sculptor who collaborates with one of the last remaining stores that sells and repairs typewriters  to promote the resurgence of typewriters. Definitely a must see movie!

OCTOBER 12 - BURNT - Chef Adam Jones had it all, and lost it. A rockstar chef of a two-star Michelin restaurant with the bad habits to match, the former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene did everything different every time out and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive Michelin star though, he'll need to repair friendships and prove his worth. Rated R. Bradley Cooper stars!

OCTOBER 19 – THE TIME OF THEIR LIVES - Determined to gatecrash her ex-lover's funeral on glamorous French hideaway Ile-de-Re, former Hollywood siren Helen (Joan Collins) escapes her London retirement home with the help of Priscilla (Pauline Collins), a repressed English housewife stuck in a bad marriage. Pooling their limited resources, they hit the road together!

OCTOBER 26 – PHANTOM OF THE OPERA – The movie version of this hugely popular stage sensation bring the fateful love triangle to the big screen. Rekindle your love for this musical which stars Gerald Butler, Emmy Rossum and Minnie Driver.  Rated PG-13
